Story Time

It can be hard to find entertaining and educational drop-in activities for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. We provide high-quality Sign + Sing Story Times to keep your child engaged, while learning a few signs to grow their vocabulary. Sign + Sing Story Time is offered in libraries, child care centers, and outdoors throughout Central Illinois, as well in our virtual format of Sign and Fun at Home! At each thematic story time, families will learn 2-5 signs to take home and practice with their little one. Story Times includes stories, movement, rhymes, and bubbles, and are a great opportunity to interact with your child and continue learning outside of classes.

Summer Programming

Stroll and Sign is offered weekly throughout the summer (May-August) in Peoria and Normal, IL. Families of all ages are welcome to join us for a short walk and then participate in a short story time with one of our instructors. We are thrilled to partner with local businesses to offer a small snack to little ones joining us each week. Just drop-in and join us in at 9:15 on Tuesdays at Underwood Park in Normal or Thursdays at Peoria Riverfront Museum in Peoria. Cost is $5/family (cash) or $6/family (Venmo @communicationjunction).  Full summer passes can be purchased HERE.

Looking for a weekend activity? Join us one Saturday a month at 9:00 am at Keller Station in Peoria or Underwood Park in Normal for our Sign at the Park story time series. Cost is $5/family (cash) or $6/family (Venmo @communicationjunction). View program dates on our calendar page.

Virtual Sign + Sing Story Time

For families with busy schedules or those not local to Communication Junction, our virtual Sign + Sing Story Time programming provides families the same learning opportunities as our face-to-face story time programming in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal areas. Each thematic story time is 30-minutes long and filled with movement, signs, stories, bubbles, and more. Current story time programming can be viewed and purchased HERE.
