Our classes are available face-to-face in Peoria and Bloomington/Normal, Illinois, as well as virtually wherever you are.
Sessions begin 5 times throughout the year, in January, March, June, August, and October. Each session focuses on vocabulary relevant to the program and includes movement, bubbles, parent education, songs, rhymes, and literacy activities. Your enrollment includes a Parent Resource Guide, weekly review emails, and tips to extend your family’s learning beyond your weekly class.
We offer 3 programs to meet your child where they are on their language journey.
The What is Your Baby Thinking? program is for families just starting out on their signing journey and focuses on the first 100 words that little ones begin using. American Sign Language vocabulary is taught to help your child express their wants, needs, and thoughts before they’re able to verbally communicate. This program consists of four 8-week sessions (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring) that can be started at any point in the sequence.
Is your little one talking? Are you looking to expand your child’s vocabulary? Our next class level is designed for children and families interested in adding to their child’s vocabulary through sign language. Many children in these classes are already talking and signs are used as a tool to introduce new concepts and vocabulary. Classes in this curriculum are offered once yearly:
If your child is preschool-age, we have a program for you! Each session will focus theme-based vocabulary (using American Sign Language), including movement, literacy, and hands-on learning opportunities; while incorporating school readiness skills. Themes in this program rotate on a two-year basis and include themes such as:
The Summer Sign + Play program is designed to be appropriate for families with children of all ages and signing abilities. The Summer program focuses on having fun and building vocabulary around a central theme. We offer multi-age classes, perfect for families of experienced signers and/or multiple children, as well as baby-level classes, similar to the What is Your Baby Thinking? program. Each weekly class will focus on one topic and 10-12 vocabulary words/signs associated with that theme.

Our virtual classes are offered in the same high quality, engaging format as our face-to-face classes in a live setting on Zoom.
We maintain a small group setting to maximize connection between instructors and families. Our experienced instructors are available to coach you along the way to maximize your participation in the virtual setting.
If a face-to-face or a live, virtual class doesn’t fit your family’s schedule, we encourage you to join us for a session of a Recorded Sign + Play Class. This is an awesome opportunity to join us on your own schedule and classes will be sent weekly to be completed at your convenience. You will receive all the same review materials as our virtual and face-to-face classes (no physical materials will be provided, but all materials will be available for you to print). Cost is $75-100/session (program dependent).
Our weekly face-to-face classes are offered in both Peoria and Bloomington/Normal, IL for all programs throughout the year with one of our highly qualified instructors. Our Sign + Play program is offered in an engaging, small group setting that promotes social skills and language development. We are proud to maintain a high-level of health and safety practices in our classroom. Please take a moment to review our Class Policies and Procedures prior to registering for a class to ensure a face-to-face class is the right fit for your family. All classes are $150/session (plus $50 for each additional sibling).
